Kim's Texture Tuesday theme for the week is "in the garden" and although this is not in my garden, it certainly is a sight to behold. And I'm convinced that beauty really can be found in the most unsuspecting of places. We just have to open our eyes and be open to the possibilities.
(Hover over photo to see the before)
I didn't do much to this photo this week. I added 2 textures. Kim's Paper Grunge texture with soft light at 100% and her Coffee Tea or Me with soft light at 42%. That's it. No other editing was done. Sometimes less really is more.
I know that this has been a busy weekend and that many of you who wanted to were not able to comment due to the infamous blogger.
So, for those of you who missed it...
You can learn how to do this hover over trick here.
And I'm joining up with Kristi from Live and Love out Loud for a super fun
And read more about it here. It starts this Friday, June 3rd and the theme this week is flowers.

wonderful soft light
ReplyDeleteHa! I was fidgeting with the camera the other day, trying my hardest to not use the AUTO setting, and was taking photos of some weeds that we had yet to whack down... Sometimes beauty can be found anywhere!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, soft and light.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the texture.
ReplyDeleteSuch a dreamy image. Great choice and very well done!
ReplyDeleteDelicately lovely! I love weeds, too. :)
ReplyDeleteOur yard did look like this before we had enough clear days in a row to mow it. It seemed a shame to cut down all the beauty and flowers for this kids to pick! Lovely use of texture!
ReplyDeleteSo simple & so beautiful - love it! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! I love wild gardens including those who leave weeds to become overgrown. There's such an untamed beauty about them. My dream is to have a house with a perfectly ordered garden in the front, and a wild, overgrown with bushes and roses and even weeds type of garden in the back. Sort of an English wild garden, you know? But I digress horribly here... I love your photo! It's delicate, lovely, and real.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful weeds! I think we're on the same brain wave today.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the lighting and vantage point, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYa know - I think weeds can be beautiful and you've definitely captured that.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture and I love the texture work ☺
ReplyDeletelove the warmth & depth the texture adds!
ReplyDeleteWildflowers are the best.
ReplyDelete"They neither toil now sew, and yet not even King Solomon in all his glory was clothed as one of them."
If I'm honest I prefere more real flowers than these grasses, sorry:) BUT the picture is beautiful and processing make it perfect.
ReplyDeleteYou make weeds look pleasing and welcoming. Thank you for stopping by. Don't be too jealous..I'm back in reality chasing three little and CRAZY things...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the warmth from the texture :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Alicia!
ReplyDeleteYour Crazy Days of Summer sounds like great fun! :)
Beautiful! Love the texture you added!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, the beauty of the outdoors and the unexpected! Your photos always take my breathe away!
ReplyDeleteDang blogger! That hover trick is REALLY cool!!
ReplyDelete~Mimi
Love it! You know that I'm a big believer of beauty lying in the most unsuspecting places. I really love this, Lish.
ReplyDeleteThere really is beauty everywhere. Now that I have a camera, I'm viewing it in a whole different way. Your summer meme sounds great -- will check back.
ReplyDelete(#141 on Texture Tues :)
I never thought I'd be rooting for muggy but it's been a LONG winter. Long live muggy.
ReplyDeleteI've linked up but am having a problem getting your button or even a hyper link to show up on my blog! Must be another Blogger issue....
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful "weeds." The texture application turned them from spring to summer, in my opinion. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and great textures! Weeds most definitely can be beautiful (she says, trying to convince herself since her garden is overrun by them lol)
