The water seems to have healing properties and a personality all it's own. And although it seems to have many different moods, I have yet to encounter one that I didn't like.
Just take a peek for yourself.
The exact same frame can be different just minutes apart, particularly in the wee early hours when the sun is just waking up.
I'd love to know if there is one photo you like more than another from the sampling above. I'm thinking of adding some of the lake shots to my etsy shoppe in the coming weeks.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Alicia, just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are incredibly stunning! I want to move there...
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the pink sunset and misty on the lake. You son seems to really love the lake, Looks like so much fun, I'd like to explore that little strip of island too.
ReplyDeleteThe first and last pictures are amazing. And? I LOVE YOUR BOOTS! Hot mama! ;)
ReplyDeleteReally? Pick just pick one photo? That's crazy impossible. If you forced me to choose, I'd pick the first fog photo with the dock and the tree on the left. But it would be torture to choose just one.

I LOVE that one of the jetty/pier jutting into the misty lake, with the pine tree. That is unreal.
ReplyDeleteBut it really does look like a magical place. perfect for a lover of beauty like you!
Gosh! These are so gorgeous. Can I come and visit? Ha ha.
ReplyDeletePick just one shot? Are you kidding me? But if you insist - I love SIX - the fog, the quality of the light - it is serenity in a rectangular image!

ReplyDeleteThese are all so gorgeous! What a beautiful place to live! My favs are the 6th one (the dock with the foggy lake) and the last one. I could stare at them all day. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I'd be smitten :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Photos of such a peaceful place!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous lake! How cool that you have all that inspiration right there in front of you. My personal fav is the fog on the lake at the end of the dock. But I'm also quite enraptured by the gorgeous fall colors on the trees reflected in the perfectly still water. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the pink sky just because the frame has so many interesting things going on in it.
ReplyDeleteI feel so peaceful just looking at these. My soul actually feels calmer
ReplyDeleteLove these, Lish!!! Beautiful! I would definitely be putting these in your Etsy shop!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous collection Alicia. Especially the photo of lake it is so very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is captivating.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference between your new home and old. You would have been preparing yourself for snow, instead kids are still wearing swimsuits! So happy for you.
The lack of "real" internet has to be killing you but you have lots of time for photography! Awesome shots. I hope all is well in South Carolina. We'll send some Midwest snow and wind down your way to enjoy soon. Ha! :)
ReplyDeleteFavorites? The fog and the sunrise/set ones. The others are amazing too.
ReplyDeletegood to see things are going great for you.. I think you should totally put your shots of the lake in your etsy shop :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday :)

Gorgeous photos. I would definitely add them to your shop.
ReplyDeleteI love them all but the 2nd and 6th photos are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos are fabulous but the ones that called to me were the Sunset photos and the ones with the fog. Wow! You are an amazing photographer.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous that you can still be outside so much. Looks like the move has done you good.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lake to fall in love with! Just beautiful. I'm partial to the 5th photo - love the vibrant red leaves as a spot of brilliant color. :)
ReplyDeleteNon-Traditional Leaf Fun
The last shot is BREATHTAKING! They are all so pretty. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWow--the picture of the pier and the misty lake took my breath away. I literally had to stop on it and take a deep, relaxing breath. That looks like an amazing place.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lake pictures. I think that I would have a slight heart attack without Internet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I like the dock in the fog, and the last shot also with the fog. Very mysterious yet calming.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, they're lovely
You are so right about that body of water. I've been feeling a little run down and that just picked me right up. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! I love the misty, foggy lake shot and the sunrise shot (the second photo) in the series.
Gorgeous nature shots :)
ReplyDeleteI happen to love the 6th one down the best- but they all make me want to come stay with you :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, as always. I love the picture of the dock in the mist most of all.
ReplyDeleteLike I commented on Kristi's WW...I know I shouldn't be but I'm very envious of your photos! I need to get out of the city and find some country to shoot. Maybe this weekend (or next week) will be my time to get out there. Tired of the same ole same ole shots that I keep getting.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful especially the reflections of the sky on the water.
ReplyDeleteI'm fond of the second, the fourth, and the ninth shots. I might actually purchase that ninth one (the one with the old broken down dock.)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW! And hope you get reliable Internet access soon!
~EdT.
I love the fog ones!
ReplyDeleteHow in the world are we supposed to pick a favorite out of all of those fabulous shots? Beautiful. Don't you just love how fall holds out til the last minute around these parts? The leaves are beautiful this week.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a Verizon Hot Spot and it works well for them. Hope it helps.
Beautiful Pics! My two favorites are the ones with the fog. Fog just seems to make everything so eerily beautiful and mysterious. Happy Hump day! Hope your having a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh my - the photo with the tree and the dock... I can't stop staring. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous shots! I love living near the water. You are right about it speaking to your soul.

ReplyDeleteDoes the turtle have a name yet? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, the pictures are all gorgeous, what a lovely lake. I love the water in the first shot. And, though, I can't even begin to pick a favorite i really like that old dock (that is the correct word right?)
ReplyDeleteLovely
I love the last picture and the misty one in the middle with the dock and the tree.
