WW: Beauty Behind Healing Eyes

Photobucket
Photobucket

I am certainly not 100%, but I still enjoy snapping pics through my fuzzy blinders. And what a thrill it is when I share a photo that may or may not be clear and someone tells me they love it. Goes to show that beauty can be found, even with less than perfect eyes. It is all around us! I took a short, brisk walk the other morning through the fog. It felt a bit like an out of body experience but there is nothing I love more than foggy photo ops.

Today I wore eye makeup for the first time since my surgery, I got out of the house and I even managed to start decorating my mantel. It was a great day. If you don't follow me on instagram you can find proof here.

I can only spend 5-10 minute spurts on the computer before everything is too blurry to read and I find it doesn't take much to tire my eyes out, but I see progress daily. I'm told it could be another week or two, so I'm trying to be patient.

Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement and thoughts and prayers on my behalf. I can't begin to tell you what it means to me.

I am so excited for the day I will wake up and everything comes into focus!

Thank you so much for stopping by! This is Wordless Wednesday. Or in my case, Not so Wordless. You can grab my button in the sidebar but it is not required to participate. Just grab any photo and come link up! And if you'd like to connect with other WW participants, click HERE.

  6. I'm glad to hear your eyes are getting better. And, I remember when my eyesight was giving me problems back in 2009, one way to show people what I was seeing was to take pictures using a Lensbaby. I took a *lot* of pictures with my Lensbaby back then...

Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery!

  17. I'm actually surprised that it's taking a while to get your eyes back to normal - or better. I always thought this is an almost instant thing. Really hoping you will see just amazingly soon!

    1. That is Lasik which is an entirely different surgery. With Lasik they cut a flap and it is almost immediate recovery. Some people are not good candidates for that. I did PRK where they remove the entire top of the cornea. There is more pain and discomfort and it takes several weeks to recover as it heals but it is more conservative and better in the long run.
