But this post isn't exactly about desaturating images...
Today I'm stepping away from my normal nature landscapes to bring you something a little different for The Nurture Photography Challenge with Rebecca of Bumbles and Light and Kristi of Live and Love out Loud. This week happens to be black and it's open through Thursday. You can jump in anytime- there's new weekly themes through March 1st. You can find details here.
And if you missed the Manual Photography Cheat Sheet or Storyboard Templates, make sure to stop over and snag them!

Very cool B&W…love the templates.
The feathers in the center are just too cool…and I always find myself
wondering where you find such cool looking cameras.
A wonderful variety of black and white shots. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove these photos! Especially the feathers and the polka dots. Black & White seem to be all the rage for the upcoming season. I walked by Saks 5th Ave. today and all the windows had black and white fashion, including some beautiful gowns and slacks from the Ralph Lauren collection.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I love the way you take little things and make them fab!

Black and white photos are always beautiful. I agree with you, they are timeless. I still doubt myself a lot of the times because I am not sure of my shots. I am still learning not to be so hard on myself since I am still learning.

ReplyDeleteDifferent from your usual photos, but I love these too! Definitely going to check out the Manual Photography Cheatsheet!
ReplyDeleteI love the splash of yellow in a few of your shots. Typically, I think of black and white as photos that I have desaturated, but I LOVE your interpretation!

ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
I love the dynamic of Black and White. When I have a dedicated office, I am going to do the lower portion of the walls in alternating stripes of the color to capture an old timey boutique flavor.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic Black & White collection. Thank you for sharing and hosting the WW party.
ReplyDeleteAlicia, I love these. I am a fan of B&W photography. But the way you added a splash of yellow to some is beautiful. I love color splashes - I do them on Photoshop. But I never thought of doing them in "real time" shots like these. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the collection of black and white (and that small pop of yellow :-)
