So, I was going to start working on my Tasty Tuesday recipe, but then I thought, “Who am I kidding?” Nothing sounds tasty right now and I’m pretty sure that food and this stuff that’s been coming out of me should NOT go together in any capacity. Right now just the thought of food makes me queasy. So, if it's all the same to you I think I'll forgo the recipe post for today.
I’ve been bedridden for the better part of the day. (Thank goodness spouse was home.) I can’t decide if I’m more like Peggy Ann McKay in Shel Silverstein’s “Sick” or the chick in that NyQuil commercial, but I feel like freaking CRAP. I think it must be a sinus infection, but does achiness accompany that? Then some bug decided to wreak havoc in my gut at the very same time and I spent the last 8 hours or so with a bowl just inches away for fear of not making it to my bathroom 10 feet from my bed. And my monthly visitor is still here to boot. NO other visitor causes such angst in my life like this one. And is it a coincidence that the last several times I’ve been sick have ALL been during this visitor? I think NOT. Hey, I gave fair warning with the title.
Anyhow, I wanted to thank my fellow bloggers who have given me such great comment love over in the blogfrog community tonight. It was welcome words on such a lousy day. You girls ROCK!!

ReplyDeleteFunny, I feel like something is just going around all over the place. Saturday I developed what I was sure was going to be awful - swollen glands, ears aching, head throbbing. I was dreading waking up on Sunday! But then I felt okay on Sunday. And today a girl at work said she feels the same way I did. Plus we both had stomach issues before the sinusy stuff happened. Weird how it seems to be combined with you, too.
Also, fyi, I think our schedules are synching up. Must be all this visiting we do. ;-)
I always get GI crap during my period. I think it's just a smooth muscle thing.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're sick. I had a bout of stomach flu last month. It ran through my family, viciously. It was awful. We called it the swine stomach flu.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried a Netti pot? I don't do the Netti, I do something better made by the same company which is the same concept but just in a more user friendly squeeze bottle. I swear by it. Two of my girls had sinus issues this past week. They used it for a couple of days. Not to be too gross, but when all that nonsense is washed out, you can see why it gives people such a headache. You can find them at Walgreens. I'm telling you. It works. Feel better.

hope you're feeling better today. i'm suffering from sinus infection too - sucks BIG time! i'm planning to take action by getting it fixed within this year. I'm crap at going to the doc's so 7 months is a nice timeframe, dont you think? :p
