30 Days of Spring Recap

Today I'm celebrating the end of my spring photo challenge, but it is certainly not the end of my spring photos. Spring lends endless amounts of inspiration. Whether it's a spring snow or a spring thundershower, there are plenty of treasures to find if you remember to look.

Just yesterday I found this...


Not sure what it is, take a closer look.

Isn't it amazing? Maybe it's just the photographer in me, but I was super stoked to have happened upon such a phenomenal work of art.

Even the drops seemed magical.




Reminiscent of tiny snow globes with such precise detail.


A mirror image of it's surroundings.

I'm sure if I could have used a tripod it would have been even more crisp. But photo ops don't always come at the most opportune of moments. The rains never let up. I felt like I was back in Seattle, but my grass sure liked the drink. So with an umbrella in one hand and my clunky camera in the other, I pressed the shutter repeatedly. I relied on manual focus and a whole lotta luck, but all treasures nonetheless.

Whew! I missed a day or two here or there. But with hubs gone a couple weeks, working full time in there, and all that life throws at ya, I'm thankful for the reminder to pause and reflect on the beauty around me. Watching spring come back to life is an experience not to be taken for granted. It is indeed a gift.
