WW: Sunflowers Make Me Smile

I'm not sure about your neck of the woods, but these enormous sized flowers seem to be everywhere here. I can't seem to get enough. Not sure what it is about sunflowers, but they just make my heart happy.

  8. Being from Kansas I have a soft spot for sunflowers too. My daughter is obsessed with them, so we planted every variety we could find. And in this drought we are currently experiencing they are the only thing in our garden growing right now!

  13. We do have sunflowers here up north, but not quite as abundant. It seems like those are just roadside - or was that someone's garden. Either way they are so pretty to look at I can see why they make you smile! :)

  21. Such sunny photos! Love your quote...although...after taking a closer look at some of your photos I realized that there were many bees on the sunflowers. Which would mean runing toward the sunflowers...and quickly running away....ahhhhhhhhhh! ;) Happy WW!

  43. Love sunflowers. When I was younger I went through a sunflower phase where I had them all over my house, now I cringe when I think about that. I even got a little sunflower tattoo (I also cringe about that too!). The are best appreciated in their natural environment and you captured their essence perfectly.
