Saturday I was actually already sick and achy (and feverish unbeknownst to me) but I had previously rescheduled this shoot once before and with temps in the 70s I didn't want to waste the beautiful day, so I sucked it up. Hubs was a pretty helpful assistant and this little girl never whined once. She was up for just about anything- even climbing over rocks. Isn't she a doll?
We had a couple different locations tentatively planned that flopped for one reason or another, so I decided to try Pine Island last minute. The sun reflecting off the water certainly created some new challenges but I love the warmth that it added.
We worked our way to this dock at the absolute perfect time. The lighting couldn't have been better and I knew I had to hurry. If you follow me on instagram or facebook, you may have seen the less than flattering shot of me balancing to capture this shot below.
I'd say it was worth it, wouldn't you?
Since my PRK Laser Surgery, this is my first portrait shoot, so I'm excited to get back into it. And I have to tell ya, I couldn't be happier with my new pair of eyes!
I hope you've enjoyed this sampling of little Kayleigh...
If you would like to book a photo shoot in the Columbia, SC area just send me an email at callmelish(at)gmail(dot)com. With spring around the corner, this is the perfect time to schedule!
My website is under construction but I've been working on my porfolio in a temporary location. You may notice my new button on the top right side that says, "Alicia Ann Photography". Stop by and take a peek!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWell, these nasty bugs seem to be making their rounds everywhere. I like to make lemon tea by bowling thin layers of lemon rind. It turns the tea really yellow and I love the flavour. My mother would always make it for me so the nostalgia alone is quite therapeutic. Also, love the photo shoot and the dress. I need to get one for my daughter's communion and have no clue where to start looking. Finally, I've always wondered about laser eye surgery so I'm glad to hear it worked so well for you. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a pretty spot. I love that dress!
ReplyDeleteLovely photoshoot..pretty girl.. Great to know that you are better now.
